some of you may know i have aquired a isuzu bighorn 3.1 td intercooler , only because sheila doesnt like it :lol.

when going around corners the tyres squeal a lot even though pressures are ok , there is no wheel /tyre wobble at speed and no vibration through the steering wheel at speed either , is this the tracking out ?

answers on a postcard please to confused in brighouse , or post reply here :lol

dunno why it posted the same thread twice either ? :nenau

i doubt its the tracking mate, how old are the tyres? how much tread, what conditioon are they in? bear in mind how warm it is at the moment, warm tarmac and dodgy grip=squeel!!

tyres have lots of tread , and dont look that old , even at slow speeds they squeal

Are there any signs of wear on the tyre edge? It could be things like the ARB bushes, top arm bushes, bearings, ball joints etc
Something to be looking into :lol

does not have a limited slip diff dose it? or is the rear diff locked, this would cause squeal, Rick

are you SURE its the tyres? are they cheap tyres?

thanks for the input , this is getting bluddie annoying now tho ,especially when i open the windows , obviously its louder then .

ive checked 4wd operation and the light goes on in 4wd and off in 2wd , cant see anything on the wheels for a hub lock thingy , and neither can i see a button / lever type thingie to lock the diff /hubs , so i assume they are automatic :nenau .

the tyres seem a bit wider than the mistral but i dont think thats the cause

what sort of squeel are we talking here? could it be the front brake discs, the disc guard? I had a squeel on my Mazda, bought a new bearing, turned out it was the rear disc guard touching the disc.....

The big horn thing is basically a big version of the T2, IFS ,LSD at the back, open diff front.
Same issues with drop links ball joints etc.
You'll have to get a mate to jack up the front enough to take the weight of the wheels and then have a good old shake around:thumbs
