Towbar 12s wiring

Hi All,
Has anybody got any advice as to the best/most convenient place to plumb into the 12 supply for the towbar 12s socket on a 1999 LWB Terra, I coud run a new cable direct to the Battery but is there a more convenient cable /feed at the rear end allready fitted that would be up to the drain? I've had a look at the workshop download but it doesnt cover this part of the fitting.

i would run a heavy fused feed down car from battery to rear corner.

on my t2 did it along nearside under carpet 'grips' / door seals.

then can split it into fridge and split charge circuits and if needed extra
cigar sockets in boot area.

got similiar arrangement already done in troll but wire runs offside of car
under carpets.

Yep, thats the way I have been thinking, you would think that such a popular lugger would be pre wired, would'nt you?

Hi, you will have to run a cable back to the battery area so that you can fit a split charge relay
this is so that you can charge the caravan battery and cool the fridge whilst you are on the
move, prob a 5mm cable (I used 2x2.5mm) to prevent a voltage drop.

did you come through the bulkhead where the rear washer pipe passes through, thats where I've come through, easy to get at from both sides.

Yip mr zip, and then along to the rear o/s light cover with connectors down in the cavity, I aso fitted two cig sockets there, one ign on and one ign off so that I can use my cool box
only running when engine running so as to not flatten the battery...bri

oh, mine runs under the CENTRE console, with the CB areal pops then under the carper to the back nr side boot ( door hinge side ) two socets both switched ( together ) only with engin on..

can add another switch and socket with engin off if i find i need it.

this may help with keeping the back end tidy, i bought a kit a while back well worth the money
