So I paid a trip to Elty today who was kind enough to reindex the torsion bars for me, I also learnt how to adjust the torsion bars for future needs :thumb2

After spraying the bars for 4 days they came off quite nicely indeed.

Here is a before shot

And here is the finished article

After we undid the old steering we wondered why it wouldn't budge, then we had a peek in, ahhhh....

After breaking it up it came out ok, bloody swamp

I think this half the reason the front was sitting low:lol

Did you do the inner tube trick with the grease packed in? Cable ties on both ends?

Makes tracking a lot easier when you have it done as you can just cut one of the ties and slide it to one side. Saves the knobs at the tyre place hanging and hammering the sh*t out of your car

So now you have raised it even more how is your cvj angle? Rick

Severe I guess :doh Although I'm going to be in exactly the same boat soon so I guess we'll see how they fare. I presume Alex's 33's don't help the situation either?

You'll soon know when you get the phone call :lol

Whats the maximum angle you'd recommend on the CV's Rick? Also thanks for the help on the phone earlier :thumb2

Are you fitting LWB springs on your Banshee or fitting 2" spring spacers ?

Both :naughty Hence why I've wound the front up intentionally higher until I get the spacers

Terrance is going to be like one of those Icelandic Patrols eventually :augie

Didn't have any inner tube to hand that would do the job, even if I had thought of it.

Looking braw. How are the cv joints looking. Are they straight or at an angle. Reason I ask is, I am defo needing to adjust torsion bar with lift kit as it states on the information. And I saw a video on utube the torsion getting done and the boy mentioned cv joints position.

At a fairly heavy angle :thumb2
