It's been a bad day at garage "Makeitfit":doh
Any body know how the hell you get the top arm bushes to go in the ruddy hole:augie
I've tried lube , oil, g-clamps(ouch) and filing the arms a bit, several cups of tea and I'm still not bushed
Also is there some sort of equation for shim thickness to camber angle?
I've got some rather tangy Calmini top arms to correct the camber probs from the suspension lift :sly thanks Bluebull:thumbs
Terranus, do you have any damper bushes too please? Mine are goosed after 6 months ish:augie

timbo had all the spare damper bushes with my dampers. see if he has any left.
also for the camber 1mm spacers move things a lot , obviously you will want stainless so they dont rust away . just fiddle with 1 mm spacers till you get it right. mine needed 2 x 1mm spacers

2.5mm thick yes but you need more . so you need to add to them , go up in 1mm at a time . mine had 2 . plus the standard spacer

These top arms may well need less ie smaller ones.
The arm is meant to correct caster/camber issues :augie I hope :lol but I know what you mean.
Changing the top ball joints too as one of them has failed already:doh

I found out why I couldn't get my bush in the hole:eek:
Damn things were the wrong ones:doh I had to order another set from LA Super frauds :( they were the only people with them in the country, curses:(
They swore blind they'd be sent next day del. on thurs. That didnt happen but they did go fri., allegedly. Postman pat didnt bring them yesterday so I'm still on de ramps:confused:

Anyone know the part number for the camber correction spacers ?

You just need some stainless washers of various thicknesses. The ultra fine adjustment may need hacksaw blades or the like. Good luck, I cant make any sense out of the camber/caster chart thing, so the garage can do that bit:D

any idea of size internal and external diameter ?

Here's one of the numbers though.
54544B9500
There's another ten or so for different thicknesses, assuming you can still get them

Right well LA Supertrucks sent the bushes but they were the wrong ones :doh
So went to mr fixit down the road and got some tangy new bushes and sleeves made for the calmini arm :sly fantastic job and the same price as LA Supertrux:thumbs Got the top arms on and new top ball joints and blimey what a difference:D Steering self centers again now and I think it feels a little less wallowy;)
Here's the old horror
