Hi all and happy new year. Need to get a new rear tyre noticed today there's hardly no tread on it.but how much should I be paying for one?don't want to get ripped off that's all.:thumbs

Have a look at Black Circles .com

Are you going to use on the road HT or a bit of both AT or mainly offroad MT those are main types that I understand. Often HT will be quieter, better grip on tarmac and also more economy.
AT are a popular compromise. Usually either 50 50 or 60 40 tarmac and off road.

Others will probably explain better than me.

Depends what you want......... Brand name or just a cheap Chinese tyre.
Between £40-£50.00 for a cheapie & you can double the amount for a brand.

Best is to ring around all your local tyre fitters.

Hi,

Is it not best to have matching tyres on the rear to help with a predictable LSD???

If so could you move one of the fronts to the rear or use the spare if it matches then get a new spare which will cost less as it does not need have to be an expensive brand unless of course you want at matching spare that is.

michaline wrangler at for me,does all i want about 85 fitted each, yes change a pair.

Try the Supermarkets as well Asda are quite competative

Try Asda they are very competative as are F1autocentres if there is one in your area. Both have websites. I bought my Goodyear Wranglers from F1autocentres. Bought online and fitted by appointment arranged online. I am in the trade and our wholesaler was only marginally dearer but then I would need to pay for fitment at work so it was cheaper from f1!

I am old school and only fit branded makes my life is worth more than a few quid saved is my moto.

Do not just put one on the rear, they need to be matched due to the LSD, if you do not do motorway work then cheapies £50 are OK (new not remolds) if for use at more than 30/40 mph then a good brand is preferred, Rick
