anyone got an idea of the tick over rpm for a L reg 2.7td maverick?
its showing on the dial as around 500rpm, but i am sure that this is to low, perhaps i will adjust it to around 850rpm.
any thoughts?

i'd liek to know HOW you adjust it please!? looked at mine, seesm really awkward to get tot he box wotsit on the pedal...

i yet to look at where but i presume its on the diesel pump and you must do it when the engine is hot and running.

tick over

Hi my truck is an auto and only ticks over (in neutral) at about 7oo RPM
and drops to about 500 in drive.

Well its a shame Toolbox isn't around, I have a feeling its kind of self-compensating somehow but no idea how, so might be a problem elsewhere, but then I was wrong once before...!:augie:D

someone asked this couple of months back,
ill see if i can find the thread

no mine doesnt have this on the pedal assembly so looks like i may have to adjust it on the pump side of things

i am having the same problem, cant seem to get direct help on how to actually adjust the tickover. one person suggested the little black box on the top right of the pedal, but doesnt actually say HOW to do it. It seems to me that you would loosen the two screws, and turn, like a distibuter? dunno, let me know what you find please, I really need to get mine sorted as I dont trust it to drive right now!!

sorry clivvy but mine adjusted on the pump :augie
we have different engines and yours is newer buddy so i am not familiar with it
