Well after 3 weeks off the road ( getting the White Pearl back from Derbyshire & the ramps being free at my mates garage ) the Frog went back on the road Friday night
Saturday there was a noise from the rear :doh
Today the rear axle decided to die :banghead
So its back on the ramps for another week
On the bright side
In the last 6 months its had a refurbed gearbox, new clutch, 2nd hand rear axle, re-nozeled injectors, reconditioned fuel pump, glow plugs, all oils & filter, new starter motor & 18 months ago new water pump & radiator...
So apart from the engine itself It should be ok once done by the weekend :augie
"IF" the engine should die at least i have another :lol
That has now confirmed the White Pearl as SCRAPPED

That's just a frivolous spending, I put mine on a 30 degree wash and dry on the line next to my socks.

I'm pi55ed off

Made 1 rear axle out of 2 so thats all good

Put it back together & gearbox number 2 is fooked :banghead :banghead :banghead

So now i dont know if i should risk another 2nd hand 1 or get my origional 1 refurbed
Or buy a recon

I'm not scrapping or breaking Dirty Frog as its to solid & everythings been refurbed or replaced with new parts

My gearbox had let go BIG time...

Gearbox from the White Pearl is more to do with the transfer box I think as it won't select 4WD Low / High or 2WD & won't move the Frog in any gear or pull away

Gonna go for a 2001 gearbox I've seen on ebay for £300 delivered with 3 months warenty. I'll not get bettter than that... Recon boxs start off at £500 plus
God knows how much they would charge to recondition the 2 I've got

My Mum had a yard brush that lasted over 40 years, it had 12 new heads, 4 new stales, they do not make brushes that last any more !

Sounds a bit like your Motor !! LOL.
