I hate slates, they break too easily, the edges are sharp, and they're too much money.

:augie

I don't understand why people have to slate another persons car just because it isn't what they bought themselves. :nenau
Is it envy, jealousy or self importance forcing people to pronounce theirs is best?
I have got a Terrano, but I am pretty confident there are many better vehicles of many makes that are better than my rusting pile of scrap. Only difference is this one is mine and I do happen to like it, doesn't make it better than someone else's car.
If someone has a Rolls Royce or a Reliant Robin I'm not going to pick faults with their car. It's pretty rude really, and certainly unnecessary.

depends on your sense of humor tbh

i have a bit of fun and muck about it is ment in that sense not a personal attack :thumbs

i hate slate as well have you seen one fall from the roof :eek:

i suppose it depends on the slate. welsh slate is tradionally a good quality stone, but China can produce a very similar product for much less money, so unfortunatly, i reckon China Slate is a bette rbuy, than welsh, shame.

p.s. my slates better than yours so *raspberry*

Ah yes, that's reminded me of something to put on the "why I love...." thread.

years a go ipaid a roofer to take all the slates off a house, put new laths and felt down and then put the dslates back.

he employed to lads to strip the roof and they threw them all down into the skip below and smashed the lot! he ended up doing the roof for less than nothing

Hear hear! My other car (apart from the T2) is a Honda Jazz - I get all the jokes like "It's an old f**rts car" and "Where's your pipe & slippers" but it's a great little car, it does what it says on the tin and I like it!

on that note, i have been thinking of buying an old Metro and Austin id poss one of the early ones, a British classic. I know they were pants but still a real classic now.
