Hi guys and gals.
We've all been reading how Rustic is battling with his health, and a while back, suggestions were made about having a meet somewhere in Uncle Rustic's neck of the woods. (Staffordshire)
I'm posting this to "Rally the Troops" and organise a mini meet with the hope Richard and Roz will be able to visit and say hi.

I understand it's holiday season and not everyone can make the same date due to holidays and work commitments, but could I ask you all to respond with possible dates and we'll see what unfolds. :thumbs

To Rustic.
We would appreciate your input too for possible meeting points and dates.
Obviously you are under no obligation to attend. We a very aware of your circumstances and if, on the day, you cannot make it, we totally understand.

Count me in too. Second weekend in September and last weekend in September are the only real difficult weekends for me.

Great start guys.
I'm away training 2nd weekend Sept for 3 weeks. 1st 2 weeks at Stone bizarrely:cool:

I am able to do anytime this month though. :thumb2

I'm self employed, away 4th - 10th Sept, sort out a date, I'll make it if I can.

May I suggest we don't get over complicated (like the last time we suggested this) and just meet "round the corner" from Rustic at lunchtime for a brew/picnic/cuppa for as long as people wish to stay.

I'll bring you some Yorkshire tea lad, if you can handle it :D

Perfect:thumbs that's all we need

Available weekends for me
12th 13th, 19th 20th, 26th 27th Aug
2nd 3rd Sept
Weekends from 7th Oct onwards

Any..... or all:naughty:D

We don't need to keep a thick mat of it on our bodies as it's warmer down here, and it's "grim oop norf".

Can't do 3rd Sept, may be able to 2nd, but will have to do some SERIOUS sweettalking of SWMBO!

Just had a thought. The 2nd is JUST before most schools go back, anyone with children may be reluctant to get involved that weekend, PLUS, I suspect traffic across the country will be pretty bad for the same reason. Would end of Sept be more suitable once things have calmed down a bit?

These are the Saturdays that I'm likely to be working, but with enough notice can cancel.
12/08/2017
19/08/2017
26/08/2017
16/09/2017
30/09/2017
I'll need at least 1 week's notice so I can arrange cover.

Maybe a poll?

Just had a thought...

...when Zippy was mucking about and pretending to leave he put up a poll.

Would it be a good idea to put up poll with a selection of weekends/days, maybe four (ish), and take a poll of which would suit members best, and then we go with the most popular?
We could spend the next year bandying days back and forth, just thought this could push the matter forward.
