500 HP in lorry ain't that much these days although bit more than the 190 HP daf I took my test in

The owner is only 33, 34 this year

I watched the first series. He certainly has some nice trucks and a nice remote control trailer that cost a fair amount of dollar

Wow....some awesome trucks there......nice.
I remember as a kid getting lifts with my mate and his dad, who drove one of the old Scamell heavy tractors for BRS.....massive lumps for their day..... :thumb2

I used to drive a Foden with a 180 Gardner engine, the allowed max was 32 tonnes then. It also had intermittent power steering that always played up while reversing, had to stand up to steer it!:lol

I stopped driving artics in about 1998, the job was getting unbearable for me by then.

My old man used to drive the HGV's :thumb2

I'm sure some of you have seen the pic of his Scania 430 that I put up on here

More recently he used to drive a Scania Topline 550 V8 for KTC Edible Oils in Wednesbury, some of you further south may have seen the trucks up and down the motorway and anyone who runs veg on here has to have encountered one of their tins of oil at some point

It kills me to know how much oil was wasted when dad used to get to his drops and shops turned it away because of tiny dents in the tins, dad hd to take them back as "damaged goods", we'd get back to the yard and they would be written off and binned

If only he still worked for them I'd never have to pay for fuel again :(

might only be 500 but i'd say the torque would be through the roof.
