so having followed the drop link debate regarding ebay or not and the off centre shape of originals and replacement drop links i ordered some new ones from ebay i do fancy the rose joint replacement idea from a fellow member but i needed to sort mine out as the knock was actually a broken original drop link.

ordered a couple off ebay no point doing only 1 and some new poly arb bushes to while the arb was off might as well do those to, following advice on here removing the arb to do the job, only needed to jack up the near side and remove 1 front wheel. Got the arb off in about 10 mins found the near side drop link had been replaced at some time. The broken 1 was an original judging by the shape of it, off set like photos on here.

so new drop links fitted along with the poly bushes and refitted and i must say a big difference the drop link must have been broken for a while it might also explain the uneven tryre wear im getting time will tell oh and my new favorite toy 24 volt impact gun and socket set :D:D

put some poly arb bushes on mine god they noisy

HARDER COMPOUND, NO REAL GIVE TO ACCOMMODATE WARE sry about capitals
slightest bt of play will make noise, softer compound will soak this up, poly bushes are harder , less forgiving but give a firmer ride albeit with a slight noise increase

noise

i cant say that iv noticed increased with my poly bushes all i can say is the car steers a lot better and isnt tipping over in corners or bends any more mainly due im sure to new drop links remembering 1 was completlt brocken off in the joint, there in the garage il get some photos next week to show the differences
