I have today been mainly fiddling with my round bits :D
Took my old KL71s off, a mere 305/70/16 and got help to fit my Simex 35/10.5/16s :sly bloody lush
Here's a quick shot with the Trol on original size washers, then the 305s (33") and my favorite the Simex 35s :naughty

Body lift tomorrow then :clap

Will they fit a T2 if I take a disc cutter to the body? I do like, Rick

Yes mate :naughty
35s on my T2 but these simex jobbies measure more like 36 :sly
So you will need a body lift too as well as suspension lift.
Best tyre you can get for that mud bath you keep visiting :lol

Got round to doing my body lift at last :D Took a punt at a kit from xpajun at £43 inc post and extra long nuts n bolts :thumb2 Worked out a treat. The front 6 bolts are all easily accessible but typical Nissan for some unknown reason had 2 captive bolts at the back :doh You guessed it they didn't want to come out. So had to cut the floor a bit to get the non captive nuts out. Then lifted the body up with my mates fork lift and produced this :sly

The reason for the lift ofcourse was to fit my Simex 35s :naughty:naughty
Here they are 'king luvly

Off on testing manouvers tomorrow

lovely, when can I have a go driving it?
When ever mate :sly we'll be out on Monday again, are you around then?
By the way, here's the offending "non" captive captive nut error

Now closed up and welded :thumbs

funny that after all that it doesnt look that lifted, maybe the arches
or flares cover it up.

mind always thought mine looked like needed some help in the
tyre area, the oem stuff looking too small for the truck...

nice one.

aha, atleast they are easy to get too.

Sorry busy all weekend/bank holiday partying.

Boot full of boxes :)

Look at this lot :) Can you tell what it is yet ? :augie
Well they're my new coils and dampers, about 2" lift I hope :naughty

Today at exactly 12.45 the rain eventually bloody stopped, hurrah :clap
So I fitted this lot to the truck quick sharp :lol
Starting ht to wheel arch

Got the old saggy springs out and then had hissy fit as the new ones were smaller than the old ones , arse :doh A quick phone call to Pedders suspension guys and I was re-educated accordingly :lol It'll be allright when on the ground.
2012-06-22135711.jpg

Got the shocks off next and my new ones were as I hoped longer than the old ones for extra travel/articulation :sly
2012-06-22141955.jpg

Springs and shocks in place :naughty
2012-06-22143041.jpg

The result , an extra 2 1/2" oo er missus :naughty
2012-06-22151506.jpg

While I was there chopped out the old ARB gubbins, that'll save a few more kilos and help the flex

Ooohh:naughty looking good mate, just realised that the trolls look like a fourtrak from the side:augie

Uploading some more pics now including the fork lift articulation shots :clap
Kit was £700 :doh 4 coils, 4 shocks, 4 castor correction bushes and a couple spring packers :D

expensive, but at-least you rarely see many tricked patrols in the UK.

you did get the vehicle cheap though, I've seen them going for 1.5k ++

Front end was a complete pain in the arse though , took me over 2 ruddy hours :doh Front shocks were properly rusted together and not enough room to get a grinder in there either :( Got the buggers off eventually.
2012-06-22182512.jpg

Front springs are heavier duty ones to carry winch bumper etc in the future
2012-06-22182759.jpg

Again while I was there I removed the offending ARB gubbins :)
It helps do this :naughty The bonnet here is about 6ft up :sly

Old skool trols like mine are job to find under £2000 weirdly , even more for swb 4.2 jobbies :naughty
