Thankyou, thankyou thankyou EGR

A quick note to all whom have given me advice on my 95 2.7 mav running starting and idling issues.
Had a play around with the egr vac pipe today but nothing happened so give the egr a technical wallop with a hammer and i heard the spring bounce sounding like it had freed up.
Now the engine runs better than it ever has all the probs were due to a stuck egr, total cost to fix £000.:clap
And to think the car was going to the scrappers at the end of the week!
So what i have done now is whilst the valve is shut i have blocked the vac pipe so it wont reopen.

While i am here has anyone any tips for getting the egr of it looks a right pig of a job.
