To recap;

Turned the damn thing off, and it wouldnt start, immobilizer light on.

Tried for hours with ricks help to bypass it at the IMMU unit, including trying a new IMMU and key, no avail.

I eventually gave in, and took it to Richmond Nissan, who wrongly diagnosed the ECU (Which on my model only controls 2 egr valves, apparently)

They then downgraded their software, and diagnosed the immobiliser unit on the back of the diesel pump.

After feeding ignition lives into both the stop solenoid and the solenoid in the immobilizer unit, it lives!

Strangely not, even with a direct battery feed to the overrun solenoid, she still wouldnt fire up

but you needed a feed to the immobiliser at the same time that explains the light being on, Rick

Apparently the wiring was good, just a faulty unit.

However, not being 100% sure what that unit consisted of, i can only go on what ive been told by the stealers.

Suffice to say, the beastie no longer has an immobiliser...not that im going to tell the insurance that...
