well i am pleased to say after some welding that blue t2 passed its mot yesterday,just advisory on both front tyres.
os rear sill will need to be done later but ns welded inner and outer.
its a good t2 and very reliable and has replacement steel no rot wings fitted.picks to prove.
my delimer is that now i have 3 of them 2 t2 2.7 se and 1 3l auto all legal on the road,well my green one is at this moment front end fully striped and new fiberglass wings and replacement front bumper to fit.
neadless to say rad cross member shot so am welding it up befor wing fitting.
mot due july but will have new mot on it.
so in all both t2 are/will be all done and will need to sell the blue or green or both t2 as keeping the 3l auto one for me.
green t2 99 2.7tdi se top speck,blue t2 98 2.7tdi se but not got sun roof and dark windows.
so posting to sound out the waters.remember both have all welding done except blue os sill but could do that as well if price is right.
i am not posting prices,look on sites for idear but they will not go at silly low prices as all done.

blue t2 still up for sale.£800.a bargain with new steel wings front panel,bumper iron and n/s inner and outer sill with arch done.
working on green one now as well,front cross member full width done n/s inner/ outer arch done offside sill done befor i got it, new fiber wings and replacement almost new front bumper,welded bumper iron both ends.not finished yet price later but just had 4 new wrangler a/t tyres as well se touring one so a bit dearer.

an update.
being as i have got 3 now since i got the 3l one and i am on permit parking and only allowed 2 permits,and i found a nice twin wheel caravan for my daughter and family 7 of them, the blue one has been parked at there's,they have had it a couple of months now but its still legally mine and i pay the tax and ins so its legal.
they drive it on there ins,yes i know its 3ed party but what can i do,to tow there van and he has been using it for work,i had a chap who was interested up at thetford,a lorry driver but said he is away till friday and then he will look.
i sent him a message to get in contact as it would have suited me to take t2 up to him being as my caravan is stored at my mates place and i had a lot of stuff i need to get up there without emptying the 3l.
i would take blue one there empty back,pick up my new to me mobility scooter and anything else i need here,take it to show him about 8mls from van and if he wanted it all good as the fuel in the tank would be wvo so not a lot of cost to me.
i got no reply.
i let my daughter know i did not need to have t2 and it can stay there.
all sorted or so i thought,son in law sold his petrol zafai as not man enough for the van,and has been looking for replacement,she says have dads t2,anyway he comes back with a 2.7 diesel jag now tow bar and expected it to be all sorted at home,well it appears the sht hit the fan.
it seems he is fed up having big 7 seater and wanted a nice car,he had a nice vector which he was forced to sell as the sprogs came along,she explained no tow bar,cant get all of them in,shit on damp grass,oh i forgot a bloody big dog as well,and he pipes up that when her leas car is up for renewal she can get a 7 seat on to replace and tow the van.
now her job is a go anywhere community nurse with a nice car cheap as well so in no way is she getting a big un to do her job.
losing track here lol.
anyway last night out of the blue i get a message saying michelle says the chap did not get in touch about blue t2 and he will have it,i get in touch with her about message and who did she tell,she said its from phill,on checking phone book it was so as is he is coming around later to sort out paperwork.
so that is 1 less now.

on friday i got the green one back from welding so its all sorted and a couple of brake pipes were replaced as well.rick pointed me in the right direction even though i thought it was the place so ta rick.
now its up to me to finish off the body work next week from wed or thur.
then watch this space.

yes my blue one is at the new owners now,in the family,better you know than not, as has been for 2 months,deal done i even gave him the next oil change oil,1o ltrs mineral, all he has to get is the filter,also paying august tax for him.arnt i nice lol.
now the jag he got,well it wanted a jump start,not good,to get it going and was told it was because its been standing 3 days,wtf,any way its coming to me tom to meter it.i think its got a drain.in my caravan i have a plug in fuse meter that tests each line to find the drain,a lot of vans get drains and fks battery, but its not here,so will just test battery and charging system,hope its not a shit heap.still i am glad its gone to family.

changed the battery for a good terry one of mine so if it still drains will need to look further into it.
