Hi all,

I've just run out of time and money to do much with the Terrano.

I've had the chassis welded up so apart from the sensor issues it's fine. I also found a chap locally, http://www.247autorecyclers.co.uk/ who will do the No1 injector for £25.

He's also got a crank Position sensor and MAF available.

I've set the reserve at £300. Any less than that and I'll go get the parts and get it running properly again.

Bloody hell mate, you really did yourself in here, you had a decent sale and then you were far too nice in taking it back

Why don't you wait for the impending snow (when the 4x4 noobies come out) and bid crazy on the offroad cars. Your bound to get some more cash that way ;)

Got nowhere to keep it now I have bought another car. Busy organizing to move house too so need to de-clutter and get some money back in the account. Someone will buy it for £300+
It'll cost me time and money to get it running properly, plus all my tools are in storage so it's awkward to get anything done.
It's stored on the road at the moment, and as the tax is nearly up it'd cost me another £125 to re-tax it.
Might get another toy in the future but just need the cash back now.

That's fair enough, shame it didn't work out for you though. Good luck with the sale :)

Thanks,

I'm sure someone will buy it, it's already got bids on and there's 5 days to go. Originally I wanted a LWB Terrano/Pajero to convert into an overland expedition camper (on the cheap) sack off this life and drive overland to the far east. I've since managed to sell the house I had been stuck in for 10+ years due to the property crash and have secured a new job doing what i want to do and getting paid handsomely.
I should have enough cash to have a project in the near future (once the new house is restored). Not fussed about dropping a hundred quid or so with that muppet messing me about with the car.
I've just bought a SEAT Toledo 1.9 TDi tha tI can use for work and run on Veg too. That'll keep me entertained for a bit until things settle down again.

Did he do the lights first, then take everything out to do the insulation? I suppose the ideal would be to have a LWB commercial type (if they do them) then you have a good base to start from. There's space in the engine bay for a leisure battery. Doesn't need to be too OTT, but a double bed sitting atop a load of storage with pull out cooker, fridge and water tanks. Was also looking to put in a large secondary fuel tank to fill with Veg oil. Twin tanking a 90 litre tank would then double the effective range of the truck.

A 4x4 vehicle like a Landrover 101 or similar would be ideal, except they're expensive, keep falling apart and are probably too large.
