Hi,

was looking at Parkers and suggests my manual 2.7tdi 5 door S trim weight is 1935kg
which seems as high or higher than some higher spec'ed 2.7tdi auto 5drs.

I cannot see how the weight would vary by upto 200kg, any thoughts, need to know
what the payload is as need to shift 400kg 80 miles prefer not to have to use trailer
for what is quite a small in volume load.

Thats gross weight isnt it terranos weigh about 1500kg

cheers but gross weight from vin plate is 2580 kg ish

sure its a typo, as cannot see these cars getting heavier
like for like model, as dont believe they gained say crash
bars in doors etc as cars have over time and got heavier.

tempted to get it on a weigh bridge.

from memory unladen was as left factory, kerb weight was
with tank of fuel and driver.

typical when want my model's sales brouchere cannot find it....

My kerb weight which I gave earlier was from a weigh bridge with full tank no driver a small dog and a few little tools

400 kg is nothing your motor will carry double that no problem, Rick

agreed not doubting what it would shift without even noticing, but wanting to know from
legal point of view., if my kerb is 200 heavier than was on mk2 it comes off payload
even though cannot see where its gone.

My Kerb Weight is 1750.From the factory no mods etc.

Mine is an SE and the stats are....

Total (curb) weight (kg) 1850 = Total weight of vehicle including body and any parts used on road, including weight of water, fuel, spare wheel, and tools plus loose equipment

Gross (max.) weight (kg) 2580 = Maximum weight that can legally be transmitted to the road by a vehicle

This gives you a legal pay load of 730Kgs but dont for get to also deduct the weight of the driver.

They not built to carry weight, they built to pull it, you can pull 2,800 Kgs with them
