hi,
new to the club and got a slight problem !
2.7tdi se terrano with no engine management or glow plug light,
car wont start, but turns over,
NATS 2 fitted,
everything else seems to work fine,
any ideas ?

get the manual here:
http://f9x.co.uk/briggie/R20 workshop.exe
Goto the EC section page 353.
Here is the diag procedure for the symptoms you describe.
As said, it's probably something trivial like a bad earth connection or similar, just go through the diag procedure and hopefully we may get an idea of what is wrong, guessing is not going to work.

thanks for that link to the workshop manual,
the manual i had was totally different and the location of electrical units was not like mine.
just going out with my voltmeter for a day of testing !

Fixed !

Thank you to all that replied with suggestions,
the biggest help was having the correct workshop manual download,
(mine was incorrect ),
turned out to be a faulty relay that fed the ecu (tested ok when taken out and tested on the bench but turn it the right way round and it did n`t work ! )

now terrance the terrano goes like a good un again !

Yeah but just think how long it would have taken a garage to put it all back together and then how much they'd be emptying your wallet by when they were finished :thumbs

as above, totally agree!! 2 hours = lots of learning, lots of money saved. I say you've done a brill job, well done fella.

cheers guys, best £10 i`ve ever spent !
will post some pics of the mods i`ve done so far

ahhhh, now there`s a question

front drop links from anti rollbar to wish bones have decided to enlarge the holes in the wishbone itself (more of an egg shape hole)
giong to weld a big washer over the holes !

Well done mate, I usually start with swapping relays but I have loads of them about, if you do not have spares then not so easy, thanks to ray for the correct link, Rick
