Does it have a rubber oring or is it a paper type gasket ? Shall I put some silicon on the contacting faces ?

Is a paper gasket buy some gasket paper and a hammer

Shouldn't need a sealant if you get both surfaces clean. Use the ball of a hammer to tap out the outlines and bolt holes. 50p at the most. David.
