I've been asked to locate a right hand drivers side front seat belt for a 2001 T2 (it's actually a Spanish lhd car, but I see no reason why the seat belts should be any different).

I've been told they require a seat belt and sensor, but I've no idea what sensor it is (my '94 T2 just has a seat belt, no sensor), can anyone help please?
Cheers
Bruce (Terranical)

You can have mine I don't use it :doh
I'm not too sure if you're serious or not - if you are then that would be incredible, if not I will see the funny side of it (I'm trying to imagine the MOT tester's face when he sees a seat belt is totally missing! )

he was recently ticketed for not wearing one :doh

if you have the roller in the door pillar then any belt with the correct quick release fitting will do, you can fit new belts to the roller assembly, Rick

Thanks for that Rick, I'll pass it on to the guy here in Spain who is looking for a replacement.

As a matter of interest, the local Nissan dealership in Malaga has quoted him €600 for a replacement belt

if you unspool the belt you will see it folds and goes through a centre slot in the shaft, from the other side push a thin blunt ended blade between the short end of the belt and the rest of the belt to push out the filler piece that traps the belt in the shaft, place something in the slot to stop the spring running the roller to nothing then refit the new belt making sure you have it the right way round, the sensor by the way is the bit that when the air bag goes of it trigers the explosive charge that pre tensions the belt and cuts your neck of!!!!!!
