terrano recovery bumper

hi,i have a swb terrano r20 square light,i need a front recovery bumper for it as i ripped mine off weekend being recovered does anyone know if arb or such like make one any help would be great

Hi :smile: you can get them well winch bumpers but they are not cheap & often have to come in from the alikes of France & Spain etc :roll: Specialist Leisure maybe able to get you one or one of the other big companies like TBR :roll: I'm I right in thinking you used your front bumper as a recovery point instead of the front recovery hook (pig tail) :?

thanks chap,did use the pigtail but someone pulled me into a bank and it fell of,just saves me taking it off i supose,thanks again for the link.

The cheaper option might be to make a dumby one up out of cardboard & take it to a blacksmiths to see if they could make you one up :smile:

If you're pig tail fell off I should investigate how rotten you're chassis is. The pig tail mounts are far stronger than the ones used to mount winch bumpers and are designed to take te loding of being recovered - were you snatch recovering, winching or just a straight pull?

ASFIR do winch bumpers for mk1/2/3 terrano,Dont think they will be cheap,but seen one on 98 model looked quite neat.Looked on TBR website they do diffrent types of fastening for winch.
