If like me you want to replace the Nissan radio you will need to replace the hazard light switch built into the radio.
Remove the standard radio and remove the two plugs, a white one (radio loom) and a smaller brown one. The latter is the wiring for the hazard warning switch.
Splice a wire into the green/red and another into the red/blue one. Link these via a standard switch and voila, you have bypassed the in-radio hazard warning system and retrofitted your own!
