I have a problem with my front screenwashers in that the water pressure at the jets is so low they will barely hit the windscreen. I have removed the pipe that feeds the jets and the flow seems very poor so maybe the motor is worn out.

The manual for the R50 does not show the washer motors in much detail but having removed the wheel arch liner I have gained access to the washer reservoir and there are two motors mounted in the plastic casing. Each motor has two plastic hoses on the outlet one goes to the windscreen jets but what the other pipe does I do not know as it just disappears from view.

The manual seems to just show one pipe from each motor to the front & rear washer jets with no second pipes shown can anyone help ?

The 1st thing I would do is to remove the washer pump & clean it up under a hot tap & soak it in some vinigar to remove any limescale. This has worked on other cars i've had  Do you use screen wash :?: as i've found that it often turns into flakes over time & blocks the pump up which caused my brothers 1 year old corsa's washer to stop 8O

screenwasher problem

I have removed the motor and given it a good wash through and it seems quite clean however I have not tried vinegar or limescal remover its worth a go I have nothing to loose.

What about the second pipe whats that for ?

The two second outlets from each pump motor do go into a T piece to join into one before the final pipe disappears up the inner wheelarch.

Perhaps its something to stop them running dry when the level drops ?

screenwashers

Tried cleaning the washer motor but problem more serious as motor taking high current but not rotating with any speed. Bit the bullet and fitted new Nissan Screenwash Motor at a whopping £35 but its now has the flow and pressure it should have. Problem did not lend itself to an aftermarket pump due to the way it plugs into the reservoir.

I still do not know what the second pipe connection is for but I suspect its some sort of frost or dry flow protection
