Hi guys i need some help please, can any one tell me what engine fits the above the engine type is a TD27, I have just bought this as a non-runner. turns out it needs a new engine:eek: as when i put a charged up battery on it it fired up straight away and was knocking like a very big bag of chissels:(:(
 
I'm pretty sure it's the same base engine as the Terrano II ie 2.7 TD I guess yours is auto most T2 are manual, so some fiddling required no doubt. Give Adz a shout he's got one :thumbs
 
as far as I can tell the bell housing manual/auto are the same, I have an auto bell housing here so can do a template if needed, all you will need to do is change the flywheel for the drive plate set up of the auto, Rick
 
I have managed to get an engine, is there anyone nearby (Desborough) that i can hire/borrow an engine crane to change my engine:):)

Help please
i have fitted another engine, at first it seemed okay apart from every now and then it would rev up and down to about 1500 revs then cut out, would restart straight away no problems.
Now it has developed another fault, when i turn the key to the off position it carries on running for about 5 seconds:confused:

hi mate sounds like a sticking fuel stop solenoid either try some inj cleaner, or try the sol off the old engine easy job good luck.
 
Right i drained the diesel out and mixed a bottle of injector cleaner (enough for a tank full ) with a gallon of fresh diesel tipped it in and fired her up yesterday, smoked like a pig for a while but seems to have cured the reving up of it's on accord and she tuns off by the key as well. still smokes a bit when cold but once she has warmed up all is good:thumbs thanks every one. i have a few bit left over from the engine change that are no good to me
1 injector pump cable operated
2 inlet manifold
3 turbo
4 alternator with pump on the back
5 exhaust manifold
None of these items were need as mine is a jap import so going cheap to clear
