Terrano locking it's self

I have noticed when it is really cold my Terrano 2 keeps locking it's self, every time you unlock it it lock it's self again. Any idea is it a common problem? as someone on Difflock forum has a similar problem.

Used to have this on my 97' Fiesta when it was really cold, it turned out that the passengers side lock wasn't returning to the correct position and was then locking back up on itself, I remember greasing the cable that feeds into the handle and re-tightening the plastic surround that sat round it

Have a look there first maybe

Yeah, the mondeo dad had done the same thing, I greased the mechanism and it was fine:thumb2
