Having rceived the little black box to upgrade the power on my terrano (it's a 2.7 on a 99 plate) I was pleased to see that only minor wiring mods were neccessary to install it. But here's the rub - the instructions tell me to make the mods to the large mulit-polar plug and er where is it exactly??? Having taken out battery etc I can see a black plug shaped thing on the back of the pump itself (i.e. facing the engine block). it's not coming off with light pressure and I don't want to start prising it off if it's the wrong thing or if there's a special knack to it. Anyone able to point me in the right direction?

Hi, What make of box have you got, the two types I have been involved with came with multi pin plugs fitted.

Hi gadgetsyd - It's a UNI-system one from Diesel Tuner Systems. I think the reason it doesnt come with a plug attached is that it piggy-backs the existing arrangement rather than replacing it. Did your versions plug into the injection pump? If so where was the plug?

dee4life,

The plug I think you are looking for is more or less above the power steering pump to the right of the battery. It should be a large round plug with a smaller oblong plug next to it. If you are in doubt follow the wiring harness from the injection pump up. Do not try and remove the black piece from the side of the injection pump, this is part of the pump held in place with screws.
If you still cant find what you are looking for let me know and I will take a picture of mine for you.
If that’s not the plug then you must have to attach it to the plug at the ECU.
