Bit of a pain to remove you need to remove the front diff first as sump wont pass it

wait till rick comes along he and swifty are the engine out gods they lifted my engine out to replace the clutch was a fairly straight forward process and yes the dropped the front diff

Drop front diff with front support member is easiest but two of the member bolts will not come out so you undo the nuts and with grinder or reciprocating saw take the heads off (two replacement bolts on re assembly but in from the other way and may need to shorten them a little) with diff out standard engine removal, easy, Rick

thanks, does the gearbox come out attached to the engine?

No ffs do you want a mega headache, leave the box behind, you will find the two top bell housing bolts are the worst, Rick
