Been wanting to get this project off the ground for a while and looks like I might have got myself a donor terrano to start on.
A guy I know is looking at a Mazda bongo on Saturday which needs a bit of welding doing so if it comes off he's offered me the terrano as payment.
I know the truck is solid as I did extensive welding on it two years ago when he first got it.
Just got to convince Mrs G it will be a good idea:eek::lol

Need to get this one finished first though before I get myself into another project:augie

We can't have too many camper conversion threads.
I need to strip mine down and build up a new one, now that I've worked out how to get a seat on the inside which will made bad weather wild camping possible... :naughty

This sounds interesting are you going to give away any more of your plans?

Will have to see how it pans out first.
Will know more at the weekend.
If things go to plan I intend to gut the terrano and do a total interior rebuild with a pop top roof.

well the deal is done and my terrano/Maverick collection has grown to three.:lol
Need to get my finger out repairing the mav to make way for the new addition.
:eek::eek:

Not got a clue yet how mine will pan out.

Does this mean one of your existing trucks will have to go?

Looking forward to seeing this project take shape. Are you going to lift the truck as well or leave it standard?

Not if I can help it.
My second eldest daughter has got her eye on the mav and my son has showed quite a bit of interest in it.
As for the camper project only time will tell on that one Jim.

Elty, can you remember a user called “Tubbs” on here years ago? That grey is just like his old truck.

I can remember Tubbs but can't say i remember his truck.
I know the history of this one well.
Three owners since new.
The first guy owned it for 14 years, passed it on to his son who rarley used it.
it then sat for a few years until my mate bought it off his neighbour for the pricey sum of £60.
That was three years ago and i brought it back to life for him and he ran it daily until a few weeks ago.

Happy days mate, always nice when you can trace the history of the vehicle back :sly

Got the terrano for the camper project yesterday.
Gave it a quick clean out and a wash ready for the build:thumb2

Was a bit of a shuffle around to get everything on the drive.

Maybe a bit of a shuffle but what a classy looking drive now with all those trucks.

Looks more like a pikey yard:lol
Hopefully only temporary while try to sort out some workshop space with the boss at work.

More trucks, more security!!!!

That house will be getting a miss if the balaclava boys come around :thumbs

Tbh it's not bad for crime around our way.
Had a spate of shed break ins and some dodgy door knockers last year but otherwise quiet.
