Anyone know how the auto selector gearstick that selects drive, neutral etc connects to the gearbox?

Is it cables or metal linkages?

it changes from the lever with a cable on a linkage type thing iirc

hmm ok, just planning a project :augie

i might have a pic of the replacement gearbox being delivered to ricks place on a pallet , dunno if it will help , but will try and find it

its a linkage, if you look by the front tyre u can just see it hanging down

No, I don't think they did, but. I know the 5 spd man diesel boxes fit petrols so I'm sure it could be made to work

The RE4R01A auto box was used in the Nissan Skyline (V6?), Infiniti, 240SX, 300ZX and others....

Is that the same auto transmission in the mistral/terrano that's paired to the TD27?

Nissan did not make it, Jatco did, and yes although not in this list, the same box is in the Terrano.

Cool, do you have any info in the 5 speed Manuel in the terrano 1993 to 1996?
