terrano 2 radio probs

had a prob with the radio in this car for ages, swopped radio still knackered, the reception seems to die very easily, if i touch the gear knob or open the door half way it hisses, and before any smarty pants says it no i dont have a snake in my glove box, anyone got a quick fix for this sort of prob, sounds like an earth fault but hey am no sparky, this is an intermittant fault which gets worse as i hit 60 then clears at 60+, the radio is not a cheapy either, gratefull for any feedback as usual. :nenau

Take off the map reading light assembly to get access to the underside of the antenna mount. Then check/clean up the antenna mount, mine was loose and had a similar problem to yours. I think I remember its a single M4 bolt holding it all down.

some also have a little AMP on the mount. could check for that when there too
