Hi all need some advice, been struggling to find info.ive had my terrano 2 lwb a while and it copes ok with most offroad situations but not all!i want to fit 33" mud tyres so want to lift it,been advised that going higher than 2" can cause you to start damaging cv joints frequently?i was going to order a calmini 3" lift but its put me off!any help is appreciated, thanks

elty has just done a 3" lift using milners springs and home made shock extenders. alternatavly they do a shock and spring 3" package for 200 notes.
I think the only other thing he did was extend the diff breather:nenau
I too am going down this road as I too am going 33s. as like you say 31s just wont tackle everything
that on top of my 2" body lift I should be laffin:D oh then it may be fitting a lokka next:augie

I take it you hunt with a username like that?

susp lift nothing needs extending, you can go 3" at the back end but only 2 at the front, you will need longer shocks aswell or just be a waste of time, body lift i have done 2.6" and not had to extend anything, i'd imagine you could get to 3" before having to start extending things, for 33's you are going to have to take off the mud guards and talk to the front inner arch seam with mr big hammer, or mr grinder can have words then plate it back up.

Welcome bud! (That was me that suggested the cv's could be an issue)

Like I said, lots of Terrano owners on here, they'll sort you out :thumb2

The Calmini kit is expensive at £600  It's all there but excessive for what is really needed.
As said the Milner kit is good value and I think isn't actually 3" on the LWB more like 2.5 :thumbs which is good.
That's just the suspension lift mind. If you want proper body clearance on 33s you'll be needing a body lift of say 2" also.
Good luck:thumbs
