I have a terrano 11 tdi Lwb. In 2wd I jacked up front and passenger side when spun it span drive shaft and prop. But drivers side ran free of drive shaft.

1st Is this normal?
2nd can I fit auto hubs?
Or just leave alone as that's how it should be

Probably been asked loads but new to 4x4 and not found any info exaining in new by terms

Will depend on which hubs you have fitted auto / manual / fixed. What year is the T2 to start with.

He's got fixed hubs as it's a 02 plate:thumb2 TBH pointless fitting auto hubs on it due to the cost & work involved:augie

Yeah 02 plate terrano. so should they both run free or one side turn the prop etc

Normal. The front diff is open so either front wheel could run free. You may jack it up tomorrow and find its the opposite way round. Not worth the work even if possible, leave the fixed hubs and just slip it in and out of 4wd as needed. My 01 plate is fixed hubs and I have no issue with them - just spins a bit more hardware in 2wd..

Brill that's all I needed to know as didn't know if I needed to regrease the hub that was turning the drive shaft
