Temp Gauge not working

Hi all

My temp gauge does not work on the flat but works when I go up a hill any ideas, what could be wrong.

keep going up hill:thumbs:lol sounds like a bad conection on either the sender unit or poss at the back of the clocks

Its either that or the engine is stone cold until it works a little harder going up hill to make the gauge register, thermostat may be stuck open, if you disconnect and earth out the wire connected to the temp sender the gauge should go all the way up, this will rule out the wiring and gauge.
