Just done second service on my Y60 since I've managed to cover nearly 6000kms in my first 3 months of ownership and after a bit of research I decided to try K&N oil filters to get the oil pressure up sooner.
The TD42's often take a good few seconds to get oil pressure after start up and whilst it doesn't seem to cause any harm, I just didn't like it so I put two HP-3001 filters on and I have oil pressure within two seconds of start up now. I believe also that the filters have better filter media inside them which should help with the high soot contamination that the TD42 is known for.
So if you're a bit anal about all things engine oil related like I am, give em a go.
