I am on holliday with my caravan in Blackpool and just realized that the black taxis hav 2.7 terrano and maverick engines in them

Depends on the spec... some have supercharged Chrysler diesels in too!

When i worked in a Nissan Parts Dept we often had Taxi Drivers coming in for bit's for the Fairway's. For some reason we could supply the bit's cheaper?

same as ford supplying bits for t2's cheaper, and quicker and in nissan packaging!

The whole industry is at it. I had a SEAT a few years back. It was cheaper to buy some VW part numbered golf brake pads off the shelf from the vw dealers than go to most motor factors or on order from the rather crap seat dealer :nenau
