Tacho

My tacho is bone idle and doesnt work very often.
It only works when the motor has gotten wet or when I am thrashing it.
Any ideas ?

Mine was sticking, it was the instrument facia on mine pressing against the dial. Had it took out and seated correctly all fine now.

Sounds like a dry or loose connection,

If it goes when wet sounds like the water is acting as a conductor for the electricity either power or earth some where in the engine bay.
More likely a earth not earthing properly due to corrosion or loose.

Have a check for those connections and give them a spray with a aerosol lubricant. :wink:
