few mths ago i bought my t2 whilst checking it over i noticed the oil looked like it had never been changed since the day it was made so i dropped the oil new filter gave it a 1000mls changed oil again its now had 3 changes in 3000mls , it sounds sweet no rattles but one thing i have noticed recently is the turbo whistling between 2 & 3 thou revs is this normal as i never heard it before or is it due to lots of clean oil
its going in mon to have the sump welded cos of a small oil leak so once again the oils gotta be dropped & changed

Just fitted the K+N induction kit and got my whistle back :)

I could never hear the whistle, then I fitted a turbo gauge and I got the whistle, which was coming down the connection pipe and radiating from the gauge it's self.

The solution, was to put a clamp on the pipe under the bonnet, to restrict the air flow, and this reduced it.

So think what you could have done that allows the noise to get into the cabin.

On some vehicles it is louder than others though.

It is reassuring though to hear it, and I often back off the throttle a little, I wonder if this would save any fuel:nenau
