T2 heated Rear Window Switch

To day the little orange light in the heated rear window switch stopped working :evil: The switch is ok & work :smile: Has anyone replaced this bulb before or could give me an idea on how to do it before I start stripping the switch to bits :roll:

Nissan told me it couldn't be done, so I did it. You can carefully take the switch apart without too much difficulty. I replaced mine with LED's and resisters to drop the 12v down to a level LED's can cope with. Easier still go to your local Maplin's shop and get a small 12v bulb with wire legs and stick it in (www.maplin.co.uk). Sorry can't give you their part number but they sell several different types so you may find it easier to take your old bulb out first.

Cheers JT :smile: I will have a look around for a bulb or at worst take a bulb out of a nissan switch from the breakers. It went off the other day & after I pressed it in & out a few times it came back on so i'm wondering if it's a lose conection or the bulb has given up :roll:

I'd do both bulbs at the same time as the other probably wont be far behind. Def go for new rather than second hand when it comes to bulbs.
