hi guys, it had recently been blowing out a blue haze of smoke while cruising down the motorway at 70 i only spotted this through my near side mirror so as soon as i got few days off work i booked it in for an oil & filter change at my local garage . once up on the ramp it didnt take the guy long to spot a dint in the sump yes you guest it an oil leak too:doh ive not had the car long have checked oil level from time to time but only needing slight top ups , i had been working 12hr nights all week covering almost 300 miles mainly motorways that week , it had run low & the remaining oil getting very hot was also burning , im pretty sure i caught it in time as he changed the oil & the motor still sounding lovely & sweet :lol as for the sump the guy offered 2 alternatives new sump which he said was big job as you have to lift the lump or he put on some metal hard paste that he says will set solid & should do the trick:bow touch wood upto now its sealed no leaks but ive got my eyes on it from now on .. i guess this was down to the previous owner catching the sump probably off roading
