Found this in an old copy of Fourwheeler (wwwfourwheeler.com)
Guide to what fits and doesnt for various domestic ( to them ) and
import trucks.
it refers to 86 onwards pickup and pre 96 pathfinder which I believe
is basically the WD21 pickup, previous to to the Navara series and
to which the R20 was derived from in that was basically a WD21
frame/chassis with a semi-monocoque body mounted upon.
In both cases it says with stock condition that 31x10.50 are the
maximum available. To fit 32x11.50s needs minor fender ( arch )
trimming and to get the maximum of 33.12.50s on will need a 4 inch
lift combined with the minor trimming.
Thought that was interesting as on other makes/trucks there is
mention of an option of 3 inch ( fairly standard ) body lift, major
fender trimming/flares to be added. The 4 inch lift will be one that
is available of the shelf from atleast one suspension maker / trader.
Also deemed an easier mod than adding the cheaper atleast to buy
bodylift kit.
details taken from Fourwheeler april 2003.
