The plate that came with the Terrano that I've just brought is worthless, I can't even give it away so I've been told that I can surrender it to the DVLA is this true?

Discuss boys :thumb2

Unless you are replacing with a private plate of your own whats the point because you'll have to pay to have it transferred anyway.

Not heard of surrendering plate but I'm sure DVLA will gladly make money off something free, whats the reg mate just out of interest?

I prefer the standard plate that was on it and I'm sick of people asking me if my car was from Northern Ireland :doh

It's 'RUI 3686' mate

Must be worth something to someone bud, there are some reg sites who will buy from you, worth a try?

If my reg wasn't nearly a naughty word id have that reg off you :thumb2

RUI

They used to sell for £50 plus transfer pretty sure you would get a return if you paid £80 to get it on a retention certificate. Just flog it on e bay or VRM site. Someone will buy for the anonymity it gives to a vehicles age.
