hi

left sunroof open on tilt the other night, some dirty bar steward took that as an invite to try and break in. :(

The slide part of the sunroof no longer works - probably due to the broken rails I found in the runners.

1) how difficult is it to take the sunroof and rooflining out- the manuals make it look very easy - to easy in fact

2) has any one done this job before :nenau

3) is the Terrano sun roof the same as a mistral :nenau

4) if so has any got one for sale

thanks in advance

I think Ryan has taken his out, probably several times.:lol

CNCFABS on here is probably your best bet for a replacement.

Right, what you do is:

1 remove, all grab handles, screws are behind end caps

2 remove sun visors, screws also behind caps that pull off,, caps usually break

3 remove roof courtesy lights, screws are behind bulb shade, then pull off plug

4 remove sunroof controls & light 'sunroof model', screws behind motor inspection cover, pull the cover off then pull off the switch and map light unit,

6 remove all door and tailgate seals, pull off

7 remove A pillar panels, simply pull off

8 remove B pillars panels where front seat belts anchor

9 remove plastic cap on seatbelts and then remove seatbelt bolts, simply pull off B piller trim,

10 remove D pillar trim,

11 remove 2nd and 3rd row upper seatbelt anchor bolts and screws under cape ofer rear door, then simply pull off D pillar trim, also pull off trim ofer rear door, and remove light and plug,

12 remove the 2 studs in the roof lining over rear passenger seats,

13 lining should drop, pull out the rear door. :thumb2

SWB is similar technique

refit in reverse order, roof lining needs at least 2 people to put back up,as can be awkward

good luck :)
