1. Weather looking better for Sunday...the Met Office had predicted sleet Sat but thats gone...heavy rain Friday but sun on Sunday!

2. I've fannied about with this Fugawi software and managed to print two bits of the map for Strata Florida to pdf files, but at 2Mb each they are too big to post here I think? Shame as it would be good to upload some routes.... If you want to PM me your email addys I can send them as a tester - I assume you'll have Adobe Reader?

3. I'll bring a couple of copies of the SW - covers the entire UK and if you've got an old laptop, the cost of adding full bluetooth GPS capability is under 25 squid...you can see exactly where you are, record your track and other gripping stuff....I'll have it working with us on Sunday....

Have a look in maplins. They also do a range of car adapters/chargers to go direct to laptop low voltage input no messing around with inverting then reducing again.

I got one for £14.95 on offer a couple of years back and it fits the work HP, my toshiba and t'other halfs fujitsu.faultless :thumbs I think the most expensive one off offer is still only about £30

im finally good to go .... i have 4wd now,
done the tracking myself with a string line and lou holding the steering straight ...... "no doubt someone will tell me im wrong" but its driving straight and i got 4wd and as im 25.00 better off not paying some one to rip me off again... thats all that matters to me right now

check the Bay; i'd say £20 will buy you a 200W jobbie with a mains socket in it....highly useful I find!...then check blueunplugged.com for the bluetooth GPS and dongle...max £25 again and the dongle can be sued for allsorts...

and I'm taking the disc cutter to my effin ARB tomorrow night....can't shift the ends of the droplinks for love nor money so will have to just grind the ends off and knock the remains out....bloody things! :banghead:banghead:banghead

i took the whole shebang off at the weekend....ARB is in the kitchen as we speak! So Mr Ten-Inch Disc Cutter is gonna be doing his thang so I can at least get the ends out....we can put 'em back together at yours...will there be a tea lady?

well bring the lappy with you and i can install it for you when we stop for a brew - only takes ten minutes - I can connect it to my inverter.
