Well i just took the new truck for its test run in a field to see if the 4 wheel drive is working as it should..........Guess what.........Its not :doh

Spent the next 20 minutes trying to get it out (As i'm at work and they don't know id left the office) and gave up.......A quick phone call to me dad and he went round to my house and picked up the Beast. :thumbs

15 minutes later he was with me, put Beast into 4 wheel drive and dragged the Terrano's sorry ass out the field. :clap It did not even know it was on the back.

So im hoping its going to be the hubs that need cleaning out and putting back in and not the gearbox. Keep you posted. :thumbs

:lol should of tested them on your drive first. Could of happened to any of us.

I hope you had permission to be in the field ;)

Its a field that i control for work, so im the one who i need to ask and i said it was ok. :lol

And it was more fun doing it this way as well :lol

If i had knackered Auto hubs I would (and have see the downloads) swap for manual hubs. I have thrown money at brake rings and cleaned hubs etc. An in my opinion it is a waste of time and money! :thumb2

I have auto's on the off road motor and test them to the limit, had no probs at all except with the locked front diff it can need a little work to get them to release as one wheel simulates the shaft driving to the other, but at the end of the day I think they are top notch, Rick

Iv got nothing to lose by stripping and cleaning them so im going to do that first, as its a simple job.

The Mav was the same when i got it and sine i sorted them out i have had no problems at all with them.

As i said, if i had 'KNACKERED' auto hubs, I would swap for manuals! If they worked I would leave them be! :thumb2
