stuck in 1st gear

Hi all got the oppurtunity of an M reg 5 door maverick 2.7td,
the truck is stuck in first gear, my mate selling it reckons it is an engine mount or something. (I reckon gearbox)

Starts and runs, no smoke and good wheels and tyres, pretty clean inside and out with a bit if T&T price to be discussed, but i do not want to come unstuck and end up needing a new gearbox

any help and advice would be appreciated

Clutch maybe but i'd go with gears fooked...

Good chance it is the selector interlocks gone bad, top of box to sort, but of course it could be a broken selector fork, not so easy to fix, Rick
