strange wire near spare wheel

hi guys tock spare wheel off i think the first time it has ever come off the rear door and out of the door through a rubber gromet is a wire with a plug on the end and a switch i think but what does it do is it anything to do with the alarm stops any1 taking the spare with out the alarm going off dont no my terrano is a 2000 se+ 2.7tdi hope that helps

its standard it looks like a nissan wiring loom and plug also at the bottom of my spare wheel cover theres a whole where i think it should go but not sure but if its a switch it seams to be sizied just dont no what its is .

well yes sometimes i do drive but try to leave the old girl to the weekend driving as i also live just 8 mins from work just opsite side of town to in laws:augie:lol
