so i managed to flatten the battery today by leaving the lights on for 4 hours or so, so dead not even the dash clock was on.

nothing for it had to call recovery for a jump start long and short is even the recovery guy couldnt jump start the old terrano so ended up comming home on the back of his truck think his truck output was a bit suspect to be honest because i hooked up my van to it and it turned over great.

now this is the strange bit it turned over nice and fast but refused to fire the nats was not the problem and all other electrical equipment worked fine after a few minutes and with no obvious problem i took the cover off the fuse box all seemed ok i pulled the 30 ignition fuse it looked ok put it back in and it fired first turn of the key.

any thoughts ? i will obviously be having a good look over the electrics tomorrow

should have said the 30 amp ignition fuse anyways having had a good search im thinking the ignition swith is starting to fail so gonna get a new one

have ordered a new ignition switch and just to be on the safe side a headlight warning buzzer so i dont flattern the battery again.

decided to strip it down and have a look at it just to see how difficult a job it will be while i had the ignition switch out i gave it a blast with contact cleaner until the new one gets here. one thing led to another and before i knew. it i washed it T cut and polished the whole car looks like new now
