Any ideas on this one, i dont seam to be getting much power at low revs, ie if you under 1,500 when pulling off up hill it dies if your at 2,000 it will be fine, but if it drops to 1,500 again it dies. I dont want to rev the engine all the time as im going to burn the clutch out when im doing it.
Im not sure if the turbo is kicking in at the right time, so want to see if i can check that, so over to you guys. Again! :lol

sounds very much like the MAF. What type do you have, Bosch or Hitachi? If hitachi, undo the two screwsm remove it and clean with electrical contact cleaner or something but be careful not to break the wires...

Ok, next question, What is the MAF and where do i find it? :doh

To check the output (assuming Bosch) connect a DVM to pin 3 ((Black)Ground) & pin 5 ((Red)MAF out) and follow the instructions in EC-359.

It an hitachi, is it different to the bosh then?

HItachi, very different. you can remove it though, and clean the two thin wires inside very easily. i used electrical contact cleaner, gave it agentle rub, then left to soak and then dry out before refitting, did the trick :thumb2

Sorted, just as you explained, Took it out and found the "Black" Wires :augie, cleaned them up with a bit of white spirt, they now shiney and silver, blew them dry with the compresor and re-fitted.
Took truck for a spin and i say that cos it started wheel spinning when i pulled away :augie (First time thats ever happend) then when i got to the traffic lights and pulled away i thought the front end was going to do a wheely :lol.

So the power is comming back :naughty. I hope, need to get it stuck just to make sure though:D

Another quick, cheap and easy to do fix, thanks to you guys.
