On a day like today, just park it in the sun they shoud peel off easily once they warm up. I'd be loath to use even a plastic scraper (credit card), just peel em. On the glass you can use a razor or stanley knife blade though.

cold down here today , def jumper weather

will I am working , plastic arches....... how to get them back to black ?

Being a former valeter  & as said above,DONT use anything other than ya nail on paint or you will score, scratch or remove the lacker & paint.!

Just heat with a decent hair dryer or heat gun ( NOT TO CLOSE ) or the paint will lift ! ;)

Just patience is needed after that :naughty

Good luck

Auto Glym or Meguires have the best off the shelf "Back t Blacks" which ya should b able t get from Halfords or most motor accessorie shops. WD40 is a fast cheap way of blacking plastic but not the best as dirt will stick to it.
Shoe polish can work but not the best.

Funny enough i removed my Ford & Maverick badges yeterday from the rear door & didnt need t use heat or chemicles :augie bloody lucky as the paints seen better days :( So mopping her nxt wknd :naughty ( The 1 & only time ) Think the old girls gonna be more off road than :clap

i use the kids scuff remover on the plastics..... shoe polish

I agree with Adz (bitter experience) use a hair drier. They usually run cooler than a heat gun so the gentle warming will soften the adhesive :thumb2

Well , As well as fitting kitchen cupboard doors and doing tech support and selling xboxes on egay , I polished the door and the rear panel under the swage line.

Bloody Tar/Overspray/Welding Splatter/Stickers

I will continue to do some tommorow weather permitting.

To remove stickers I use a heat gun /hair drier & to remove the glue that can be left behind I use Tar spot remover & then give the panel a polish up:thumb2

For the wheel arches get your hands on some smooth pea nut butter, warm it up first by placing the jar in a tub of hot water then rub it into the arches:thumb2you might have to do it twich depending on how gray they've gone. Leave it on for 20 mins then buff it off & you'll have nice black mat/satin arches again:augiebelive me it works & the best bit is it's dirt cheap & a jar will prob last the time you have the motor:thumbs

Thats a handy 1 t remember ;) "pea nut butter"

I'll definatly try when the colour coding eventually flakes off :thumbs
& on any cars etc that i do in the future :sly
