As the steering drag link on the T2 is a bit poo i decided to get makeitfit to build me one of his steering mods, the big day came and a box of bits was delivered, after opening the box i discovered one of the bolts was missing and on closer inspection could see where the little bugger had tunneled out
not to worry i nipped to the motor factors who told me i would need a bolt makers to get one, so i found a boltmakers (after a lot of running around :lol ) and £1 later had the bolt i needed.
Time to get on with the job
the parts :naughty as you can see the draglink had no captive balljoints, instead they have been removed and replaced with rosejoints, you can also see some +2" shocks :naughty i've also had off makeitfit
you will also need one of these buggers a 41mm spanner for the nut on the steering box arm
and some big hammers for hitting things with :lol
i cut off the nut to the old tiny ilder
then set about getting teh monster 41mm nut off the steering box
then removed the track rod ends
but one of them was stubborn and had to be removed with a ball joint splitter
the new monster idler and steering arm
and steering arm on the os
after its all been fitted on and i've had chance to go and erm test it on a little lane near me :naughty i can honestly say the steering is so much better, its more responsive, i do highly recommend this mod and instead of paying £100 for a standard drag link pay makeitfit a bit extra and get one of these babies made :clap:clap:clap
